Manager, Taeisha Black, native of Harlem, Taeisha began with Khamit Kinks in the winter of 1998 as an Assistant Manager.  Taeisha’s love of people, the beauty business and all things creative is evident in her presence at Khamit Kinks.  As a licensed Cosmetologist and Aestician she covers a broad range of skills in her duties at Khamit Kinks and in giving insight and appropriate counsel when addressing client’s wants & needs.

Assistant Manager, Melody Wells a native New Yorker is our bi-lingual administrative personnel.  Melody is of Puerto Rican & African American descent and which allows her add her own special flavor to our staff.  Melody is known for her trouble shooting abilities and her special talent for being able to put anything together. She’s the type that actually enjoys reading directions!  She is also our in-house computer expert and sharp shooter. KK Team member since 2004.

Receptionist, Patricia Warrington native of Harlem, NY helps to hold down the fort at Khamit Kinks on Saturdays.  Patricia is a long time friend of the founder and owner Anu Prestonia, and has been instrumental in adding great value to the salon.  It is because of Pat that Khamit Kinks is open on Sundays.  She convinced the owner that was the move to make. We are happy to have her as a part of our team. KK member since before it was official.

Stylist, Khady M’Baye is a native of Dakar Senegal, W. Africa.   Khady began braiding over fifteen years ago. Having once owned her own braiding salon in Brooklyn, Khady brings a sense of responsibility to Khamit Kinks.   She is definitely the hardest working woman the in hair business. Clients have used the word "gracious" to describe Khady. KK Team member since 1998.


Stylist -Seshua  Mandulo began at Khamit Kinks as a teenager in 1989.  After graduating from high school Sesh left NY to attend Wesleyan University.  Upon receiving her degree, it wasn’t too long before she realized she still had a calling for styling natural hair.  Sesh is known for her uncompromising attention to detail and her innate sweetness.  She is easy like Sunday morning. KK member from 1989- 1992 and rejoined our team in 1997.

Stylist -Nene Souane is a native of Senegal W. Africa is one very Fabulous element of the Khamit Kinks team.  Quite, patient and determined, Nene is a nurturing and constant force at Khamit Kinks.  Always positive and solution oriented she helps all her clients realize the possibilities with their hair.

 

Stylist, Jahmillah Collier is a native New Yorker with a distinctive style.  We call her our rock star.  She has style, creativity and an uncanny ability to take it to the edge. KK member from 1997-2000 rejoined our team 2003.
Stylist, Anta Fall is a very serious-minded Stylist working at Khamit Kinks, while studying Business Management at BMCC. In the tradition of a young lady of Senegal, W. Africa, Anta is respectful, unassuming, and highly attentive.   She is a quiet force at Khamit Kinks. KK member since 2003.

Stylist, Aingeel Talley is a native of Long Beach, California, Aingeel joined the Khamit Kinks team when she relocated to NY from California in 2005.   She is a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).   Aingeel changes her hairstyles every other day inspiring both her self and clients alike.  She is known for her creative flair and her no non-sense, but laid back demeanor. KK Team member since 2005.
Stylist, Awa Thiam, a native of Senegal, West Africa, became a member of the Khamit Kinks team in 2007.  She has only been with us a short two years but she is what we consider a quick study.  Show Awa a technique once and not only can she execute it well, but she also puts her creative spin on it.  Awa is definitely an asset to our team of Stylist. KK member since 2007.

Stylist, Fatoumata Mbaw is a native of Senegal, West Africa joined our team in 2007 and quickly became a favorite of the clients she services.  She is attentive, caring, and very serious about pleasing her clients. KK member since 2007.
           
   
Barber & Loctian, Andre is a native of Guyana, South America and a Master Barber and Loctician extraordinaire.  He has a love of his craft and a serious following.  Andre is with us on a part time basis at this time, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. KK Member from1998- 2005 rejoined our team in 2008.
